How Scan & Shoot works

You buy a pallet or a lot. The supplier gives you a spreadsheet. Scan & Shoot turns that spreadsheet into labels, lets you photograph every item with a phone in minutes, and hands the finished drafts to the place you list from — 3Dsellers, Shopify, Sellbrite, or a CSV for eBay. The whole loop is five steps.

1

Upload the manifest

Batches → New batch, then drop the supplier's CSV or Excel file. Scan & Shoot reads the headers and guesses which column is the SKU, title, quantity, cost, MSRP, condition, UPC and brand. Check the guesses on the mapping screen, fix any it got wrong, and it remembers the layout for that supplier next time.

Choose one label per row when each row is one thing to list, or one label per unit when a row says "qty 12" and you want twelve labels (SKU-1 … SKU-12). Columns Scan & Shoot doesn't recognise are kept on the item as extra details — nothing from the manifest is thrown away.

No manifest yet? On the New batch page you can download a sample file to try with.

2

Print the labels

Open the batch and click Print labels. The default sheet is plain letter paper, eight items a page: a QR code, the item ID in big type and the title, with cut lines. Print at 100% (no "fit to page"). Avery 5160 sticky sheets and 4×6 thermal labels are there too.

Add a few blank NEW ITEM labels if pallets usually contain things that aren't on the manifest. Each one becomes a real item you fill in later.

Cut the strips and drop one on each item as you unpack. That's the only sorting you ever do.

3

Shoot with a phone

On your computer open Pair phone and point a phone's camera at the code (or sign in on the phone directly). The phone opens the shooting screen: scan a label, take the photos, scan the next label. Every photo attaches to the last label scanned — no file names, no sorting, no cables.

  • Take as many photos per item as you like; the first one becomes the cover (change it on the desktop).
  • Oops deletes the last photo if you shot the wrong thing.
  • Items ▾ lists everything in the batch when a label is damaged or you want to jump to one.
  • Photos upload in the background and keep going if the signal drops or you reload. The counter at the top shows anything still uploading.
  • Add the site to the phone's home screen (Share → Add to Home Screen) and it behaves like an app from then on.
4

Review on the desktop

Photos appear in the batch grid as they upload. Here you fix titles and prices, drag a photo to another item if it was shot under the wrong label, set the cover, and mark anything that wasn't in the pallet as Not received (there's a downloadable "not received" report for the claim to your supplier). Filter to No photos to see what still needs shooting.

5

Export the drafts

Click Export, pick a destination, and check the field mapping once — it's remembered. Scan & Shoot creates the products there with photos, price, cost, quantity, condition, UPC and brand, and you publish to the marketplaces from that platform the way you already do. Items that have been exported are marked, so running it again only sends what's new or changed.

Destinations live under Settings → Destinations: 3Dsellers (paste an API token from the 3Dsellers API page), Shopify (an app from the Shopify Dev Dashboard), Sellbrite (account token and secret from Settings → API), or CSV files for eBay bulk upload, Shopify import, or anything else.
