Plain-language summary of what Scan & Shoot stores and why. Last updated October 2026.
What we store
- Your e-mail address, used to sign you in and to send sign-in links and team invites.
- The manifests you upload and the items made from them (SKU, title, quantities, prices, costs, conditions, identifiers and any other columns in the file).
- The photos taken through the app. They are kept for 30 days after an item is exported, then deleted automatically.
- Credentials for the listing platforms you connect (3Dsellers, Shopify, Sellbrite). They are encrypted at rest and only ever used to send your drafts to that platform.
- A log of errors (what failed and when) so problems can be fixed. It is visible to your own workspace under Settings → Problems.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone. Your drafts go only to the destinations you connect, when you click Export.
- We don't read your connected platforms beyond what the export needs (categories, warehouses, existing SKUs to avoid duplicates).
- We don't use advertising trackers.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database and photo storage) and the app runs on Netlify, both in the United States. Photo files are served from addresses that are not guessable but are not password-protected, so that your listing platform can fetch them during export.
Your control
You can delete items, batches and photos at any time from the app; deleting an item deletes its photos. Remove a connected platform under Settings → Destinations to delete its credentials. To delete your whole workspace, e-mail the address you signed up with to the operator of this site and it will be removed.
Shopify
When you connect a Shopify store, Scan & Shoot uses the permissions you grant (read/write products, read/write inventory, read locations) only to create and update the products you export. Uninstalling the app from Shopify revokes that access immediately.
